As part of this ongoing commitment, AFRD has launched and expanded SafeSPOTS (Safe Place Off the Streets)—a local initiative providing immediate support at participating Atlanta fire stations for individuals impacted by domestic violence.
Every SafeSPOT fire station is a place where survivors can turn for help, information, and connection to essential resources. Whether someone needs a safe place to wait, help contacting local support services, or simply to know they’re not alone—AFRD is here to help.

Visit Any Atlanta Fire Station — Your Safe Spot
If you are experiencing domestic abuse, sexual assault, human trafficking, or child abuse, you can go to any Atlanta fire station for help. Each station is a designated Safe Spot, providing a secure and confidential environment for those in need.
- The fire station will be locked down to ensure your safety.
- No need to call ahead—just come as you are.
- No ID required.
- No cost for visiting or receiving assistance.
If children under 18 are involved, a mandatory call to police will be made to ensure their protection. For adults 18 and older, the decision to involve law enforcement is entirely your choice.
Your safety and well-being are our top priority. Visit any Atlanta fire station displaying the Safe Spot sign — we’re here to help.
This is Your City. Your Fire Station. Your SafeSPOT.
