Atlanta Fire Rescue Department responded to a reported residential structure fire in the 800 block of Edwin Place NW.
Upon arrival, crews encountered a working fire involving a two-story wood-frame residence with heavy fire conditions in the living room on the Alpha side of the home. Firefighters initiated an aggressive interior attack while search teams confirmed all occupants had safely exited the structure.
The fire extended from the first floor into the second floor, requiring coordinated suppression efforts on multiple levels of the home. Crews quickly placed water on the fire, conducted primary and secondary searches, and worked to contain the extension.
Firefighters brought the incident under control and prevented further spread throughout the residence. No injuries were reported. Fire investigators were requested to determine the cause of the fire.
