Media Statement: Evacuation at Twelve Midtown Hotel – Atlantic Station

Atlanta Fire Rescue Department (AFRD) is aware of a power-related issue affecting the Twelve Midtown Hotel in Atlantic Station. Out of an abundance of caution, the building has been issued an evacuation order due to unpotable water conditions secondary to the power disruption. The evacuation will remain in effect until clean water service is restored. AFRD personnel are actively engaged on scene and working alongside building management and utility partners to ensure the safety of all occupants. Georgia Power is working around the clock to resolve the power issue. Building management is assisting residents and guests with alternative accommodations. We will provide additional updates as more information becomes available.
